About this festival
MerleFest is a premier music festival held annually in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, founded by Doc Watson in 1988 to honor the memory of his son, Eddy Merle Watson. The event celebrates a unique "traditional plus" blend of music, featuring bluegrass, Americana, folk, and rock performances across multiple stages at Wilkes Community College.
