Established in 1954 in Newport, Rhode Island, the Newport Jazz Festival is widely recognized as the first annual outdoor jazz festival in the United States. It annually hosts a diverse lineup of legendary and emerging musicians across multiple stages at the historic Fort Adams State Park.
